A Tribute to Joe Cocquyt - Eagle Pack Foods

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of Joe Cocquyt's passing May 4th, 10:00 PM in Mishawaka Indiana. Joe was the driving force behind Eagle Pack Foods and the development of Eagle Natural Pack with me 18 years ago. He was the only company or individual will to look at my feed trials and the National Bone Survey stats (5300+cases) and work with me to develop a food that would work for giant breed growth. He is also the only individual/company to ever do extensive, long termed giant breed feed trials on dog foods. Joe was one of the most knowledgeable people I ever met about animal nutrition and he was highly respected in the field. He was a great friend and mentor and I am forever grateful for all he has taught me over the past 20 yrs. The Cocquyt family is the owner of Eagle Pack Pet Foods, but anyone in the pet food industry here or abroad knows Eagle Pack Pet Foods, "IS" Joe Cocquyt. His presence and insights will be sorely missed.
